Eugéne Etsebeth

Eugéne Etsebeth is currently the COO of iCE3X - a cryptocurrency exchange in South Africa. He became the inaugural chairman of the Virtual Currency and Distributed Ledger Technology Working Group at the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) in 2016. At the SARB he was a lead for the following initiatives: - Intergovernmental working group on virtual currencies - South African Financial Blockchain Consortium (SAFBC) - ‘Think Tank’ on central bank issued digital currency (CBDC) - FinTech ‘working group’ He has contributed articles on central banking and cryptocurrency to Coindesk (and other media outlets) and spoken at multiple events on Blockchain including BlockShow Europe 2018 in Berlin. He was invited to judge the Central Banking FinTech & RegTech Global Awards 2018 and is judge for the upcoming 2019 awards.
