The much anticipated Blockchain Africa 2020 has finally arrived, and despite a few COVID-19 Coronavirus disruptions, the conference is going ahead. Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK and co-founder of Cardano has already made the tough decision to withdraw from the conference, but one of the other keynote speakers who was sure to draw a crowd at is of course Tone Vays.

Fortunately for conference attendees, Tone has been in Cape Town for over a week, and is remaining in South Africa for his presentations at Blockchain Africa. We grabbed Tone during breakfast at the venue in Johannesburg, and chatted to him about his visit to the country for the first time.

Tone mentioned he really enjoyed Cape Town, and was particularly interested in South Africa’s economy and why so many consumers are moving into cryptocurrencies.
