A Bitcoin ATM has been sighted at the Tesla Gigafactory in Storey County, Nevada. The Bitcoin ATM was spotted by Twitter user, Will Reeves, who posted a Google Maps image revealing the location of the ATM to be inside the Tesla Gigafactory.

According to a report by Finbold, the ATM was installed by LibertyX in August 2020, and is solely for the use by employees of the factory. LibertyX’s website further confirms the location of the Bitcoin ATM at the Tesla factory.

LibertyX is America’s first and largest network of Bitcoin ATMs, cashiers, and kiosks. They currently have over 5,000 Bitcoin ATMs and 20,000 retail stores in the US.

CEO and co-founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, responded to a tweet stating that he didn’t believe that the claim was accurate.

The tweet which he was responding to has since been deleted, but is believed to have been a link to a report claiming that there was a Bitcoin ATM inside the Gigafactory.

South African born Elon Musk is the 9th richest person in the world, according to theweek, with a net worth of $70.2 billion. He is known to be a big fan of innovative technology, however, he hasn’t shown much interest in cryptocurrencies (despite many BTC scams falsely claiming he does!). In 2018, the billionaire revealed that he literally owns zero cryptocurrency, besides for 0.25 BTC, which was sent to him by his friend Jack Dorsey, CEO and co-founder of Twitter.
