Major American news magazine, TIME Magazine, has announced that it will now offer cryptocurrency as a form of payment for its digital subscriptions.

This is the second crypto-related partnership within this publishing space over the past two weeks. The media giant recently partnered with Grayscale to produce educational crypto videos, accepting payment for their services in Bitcoin.

According to a press release, TIME has partnered with Crypto.com to offer cryptocurrency as a payment method. Readers who opt to pay via crypto will receive unlimited access to content across Time.com for 18 months with their one-time purchase, they will also gain access to subscriber-only events and offerings.

“We feel very fortunate to partner with TIME,” said Kris Marszalek, Co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com.

Adding that: “Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to cryptocurrency and together with TIME we’ve just taken a major step forward towards reaching our goal.”

As an incentive to pay via crypto, Crypto.com will offer Pay Rewards of up to 10% back for subscribers who elect to pay using CRO, the exchange’s native coin.

“As TIME continues to innovate and find new ways to build upon our existing community of 2.3 million subscribers, we are proud to offer this new payment option through our partnership with Crypto.com,” Said TIME President, Keith Grossman.

Initially, the purchase of a subscription using crypto will only be available in the US and Canada, while global access is expected to roll out within the next few months.
